IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026 is one of the biggest banking recruitment drives in India for candidates who want to build a career in Regional Rural Banks. 🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Office Assistant & Officer Scale I: Graduation in any discipline from recognized university.
- Officer Scale II (General Banking Officer): Graduation with 50% marks and 2 years banking experience.
- Officer Scale II (IT): Degree in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science with 1 year experience.
- Officer Scale II (CA): CA with 1 year experience.
- Officer Scale II (Law): Law degree with 50% marks and 2 years experience as advocate.
- Officer Scale II (Agriculture): Degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / related field with 2 years experience.
- Officer Scale III: Graduation with 50% marks and minimum 5 years experience as Officer in Bank.
2. Age Limit (as on 01.09.2026):
- Office Assistant: 18 to 28 Years
- Officer Scale I: 18 to 30 Years
- Officer Scale II: 21 to 32 Years
- Officer Scale III: 21 to 40 Years
Age relaxation: SC/ST - 5 years, OBC - 3 years, PwD - 10 years as per govt rules.
3. Language Proficiency:
Candidates must have proficiency in local language of the state they are applying for. For Assam, knowledge of Assamese is required. You must have studied local language in 10th standard.
💰 Salary Structure
Salary in RRB is very good as per 7th Pay Commission. Office Assistant initial in-hand salary is around Rs. 28,000 to 34,000 per month including DA, HRA, Special Allowance. Officer Scale I (PO) gets around Rs. 48,000 to 58,000 per month. Scale II gets around Rs. 65,000 to 75,000 and Scale III gets above Rs. 80,000. Apart from salary, you get medical benefits, pension, leave, and loan facilities at low interest.
📝 Selection Process & Exam Pattern
For Office Assistant: The selection is based on Prelims and Mains exam. No interview. Prelims is 80 marks (Reasoning 40 + Numerical Ability 40) for 45 minutes. Mains is 200 marks with Reasoning, Numerical, General Awareness, English/Hindi, Computer Knowledge. Final merit from Mains marks.
For Officer Scale I: Prelims + Mains + Interview. Prelims same as clerk but Mains includes 200 marks. Interview is 100 marks. Final selection based on Mains (80%) + Interview (20%).
For Scale II & III: Single exam (200 marks - 2 hours 30 min) + Interview. Single exam has Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Financial Awareness, English, Computer, Professional Knowledge.
Candidates should start preparation early focusing on Reasoning, Quant, and General Awareness related to banking and current affairs.
